Margie Katherine Walker Dibble

Margie Katherine Walker Dibble, 89, of Gause, was born June 30, 1926, passed away at St. Joseph Hospice in Bryan. One of the sayings she liked to use was, “She flew away to be with the Lord”, and this, she herself certainly did on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 at Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Friday, March 25 at Gause United Methodist Church with a burial that followed in Gause Cemetery. Services were officiated by Pastor Kenneth Byrd. Pallbearers were Edward Dibble, Matt Dibble, Robbie Dibble, Keith Dibble, Joshua Dibble, and Austin Dibble. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; Herbert Walker Sr. and Marie Crockett Walker, her husband; Samuel E. Dibble Sr., her brothers; Carl Walker and Buddy Walker. Survivors include her sons; Sammy Dibble of Groesbeck, Texas, Michael K.

Patrick Randall Rushing

Patrick Rushing, 70, of Hearne died Monday, March 14, 2016. He was born on October 12, 1945, in Temple. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, March 18, 2016. Visitation will be before service from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral home in Hearne. Patrick “Pat”, along with his daughter, was the owner of Joyce’s Florist in Hearne from 1993-2004. He was a huge fan of all sports especially his Alma Mater Baylor. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents: CT and Emma Rushing. He is survived by his wife of 26 years; Betty, four daughters; Melissa, Bobbie, Joni and Carol, and Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Jack Sisson Whitlow, 79 was born April 10, 1936, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, formerly of Hearne, passed away December 21, 2015 at his home. A gathering of family and friends is set for Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home in Hearne.

Rosie Lee Redmon - Toliver

Rosie Lee Redmon – Toliver was born to the late Matthew and Anna Norwood – Redmon on January 4, 1914. She departed her earthly life on February 13,2016 at Lampstand Health and Rehab. Services were held Saturday, February 20, 2016 starting at 11:00 a.m. at Independent Missionary Baptist Church. Services were led by Rev. Walter Ward, officiated by Rev. Eddie L. Taylor and featured eulogist Rev. W.C. Adams. She is proceeded in death by her husband Ed Toliver; children, Ed Toliver, Jr., Erma Toliver and Earl Toliver; brothers, Oscar and Nathaniel Redmon; son-in-law’s, Rev. Donald F. Adams and Rev. Clifford Warren. She attended Blackshear School and worked various jobs, her last job being at Texas A&M University.

Flora Etta Ridgeway Sessums

Flora Etta Ridgway Sessums, a faithful, loving and Godly woman went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2016 at the age of 86. Flora was born on November 2, 1929 to Joe and Dora Ridgway in El Campo, Texas. She grew up and attended school in Waxahachie, Texas. Flora married J.E. “Shorty” Sessums on July 10, 1948. They were married for 50 years until his death in 1999. Flora was a member of the Sneed Memorial United Methodist Church in Calvert, Texas. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, “Guinea” and friend to many people. Flora was a retired teachers aid. She found joy spending time in her yard, garden, tending to her chickens, going fishing and cooking. Flora is preceded in death by her parents; Joe and Dora Ridgway, her husband; J.E. “Shorty” Sessums of 50 years, a daughter-in-law; Judy Sessums and a special friend, John Skaines, Jr.

Roy Dean Baggerly

Roy Dean Baggerly of Gause, Texas was born September 30, 1961 in Hearne. He entered eternal rest February 21, 2016 leaving behind a legacy of service to his family, friends, and anyone in need that he met Roy Dean was the fourth child of Roy Lee and Nelda Baggerly Roy Dean had a passion to serve others. He was a firefighter for the Gause Volunteer Fire Department, worked tirelessly for Heartfield EMS and Bluebonnet EMS, and was a member of the Hearne Masonic Lodge. In most recent years he began attending Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne. Family and friends fondly called him and his brother Ernest “The Boys”. According to his nieces and nephews his greatest accomplishment was that he was an amazing uncle! Roy Dean was preceded in death by his father and mother; Roy Lee and Nelda Baggerly, brother-in- law; Larry Morrison, and nephew; Wesley Isaacs.
