Dorothy Lee Lightfoot Williams, 60 of Grand Prairie, formerly of Calvert passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Arlington Medical Center, Arlington TX.
Visitation was 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 19 at Glenn Mack Funeral Home.
Her celebration of life was set for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 at Beauty Rest Cemetery in Calvert, with Minister Cedric Harris officiating.
Dorothy Lee Lightfoot Williams was born in Calvert, Texas. She was welcomed into the world to proud parents, Nathan and Girtie Lightfoot, who preceded her in death. Dorothy has been reunited with her siblings, Edgar, Anthony, Ella, Frances Lightfoot, and Tommie Faye Singleton.
Leaving to cherish her memories are: her children, Travis Williams, Jr. (Edna), Consuela Williams, Clarice Freeman, all of Grand Prairie, Texas. A loving and supporting grandmother and great- grandmother to: Andrea Cooper (Billy), Damien Clark, Mark Williams, Travon Freeman, Destiny Redding, Tabitha Moon (Shawn), Donnell Clemons, Wesley Newman, Andres and Ro’Londo Duarte, Tristan Moon, Faith Moon, and Mahogany Clark. Her brothers: Maxie, William, John, and Willie Lightfoot. Her sisters: Alma Tennison, Lula Gray, Girtie and Helen Lightfoot. Dorothy had a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will truly miss her dearly.
Dorothy worked hard for over 25 years at Atlas Match Company where she retired. She was a very giving and caring woman. She cared for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and had no problems with helping her family or even strangers.
Dorothy’s arrangements and care have been entrusted to Glenn Mack Funeral Home.
