Blue Ribbons for remembrance
The Robertson County Children Protective Services Board and Scotty’s House placed 38 ribbons and a banner on the new historic courthouse fence Monday afternoon to remember the 38 child abuse/neglect cases that went before the Robertson County District Court in 2013. That up from most of the previous 10 years, but the state numbers were truly staggering with over 66,000 children placed in jeopardy statewide.
The blue ribbons were placed to remind residents that child abuse is not acceptable in this County. They remind us that several of our County children are now in foster care to keep them safe.
