Samuel Rueda Hidrogo, 86, of Franklin passed away Thursday, September 18,2013 in Franklin.
Samuel was born on September 11, 1927 to Carlos F. and Eugenia (Rueda) Hidrogo in Mission, Texas.
Samuel moved to the Brazos Valley in 1942 and then to Wheelock, Texas in 1943. There he met and married Juana Hernandez and they raised eight children.
Samuel Worked many jobs. He was a hard worker and he always put his family first. He worked until his health started failing him and even then, he kept pushing.
Samuel is proceeded in death by his parents, Carlos and Eugenia Hidrogo; infants, Abel and Margaretia Hidrogo, and in 1968, his wife of 25 years, Juana Hidrogo went home to glory; sister and brother-in-law Angelita and Santos Medina of Bryan, Texas; parents-in-law, Vincente and Suta Hernandez; daughter-in-law Ricki Hidrogo; and daughter Julia Ann Delgardo.
Samuel leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife Lorene Edwards Hidrogo; six sons Carlos Hidrogo of Riesel, Texas, Leonardo (Stella) of Lufkin, Texas, Jesse, Vincente, and Joe (Dalia) of Franklin, Texas and Louis (Tami) Hidrogo of Bryan, Texas; daughter Carmen (Johnnie) Miranda, Maria (Andrew) Narro, and April Edwards all of Franklin, Texas, Marcelina Cisneros of Pearland, Texas; two step-daughters Angela West and Felicia Washington; one aunt Paula Narro of Bryan, Texas; 27 grandchildren; many, many, great- grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; many cousins, nephews and nieces and many old friends.
Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Glenn Mack Funeral Home. Followed by a wake service at South New Hope Baptist Church in Franklin, Texas.
Celebration of life was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday 21, 2013 at the church. Rev. Michael Henry was the pastor and officiante. Interment was at North and South Cemetery in Franklin, Texas
Arrangement and Care were entrusted to Glenn Mack Funeral Home.
